On October 28th, Greece celebrates Oxi Day, a national holiday commemorating the 1940 rejection of an Italian ultimatum to allow Axis forces into Greece during World War II. The day is a symbol of national pride and resilience, featuring public holidays, military and school parades, wreath-laying at memorials, and community gatherings with music and dancing.
The celebration will take place at Vittnesgränden 14, 226 47 Lund. The gathering will begin at 12:00, and at 12:45 our students will open the event by singing traditional songs and reading poems.
